Hot Stone Massage
The penetrating heat from the use of hot stones allows for deeper work and relaxation versus a regular massage without hot stones. Hot stones are soothing and relaxing yet invigorating and uplifting. The hot stones allows for deeper work since the heat allows the muscles to relax and allows for greater circulation, and can aid in healing sore muscles faster than without the stones. Hot stones aid in lymphatic flushing, helps release deep-seated tensions and just feels amazing!
Hot Stone Massage utilizes hot stones in conjunction with Swedish and Deep Tissue massage techniques to increase circulation and lymph flow, accelerate healing, release deep-seated tension and stress, and creates a general sense of well being? AND it just feels great! The hot stone massage uses basalt stones
(made from the magma that erupts from a volcano) that are comprised of iron ,magnesium and aluminum that allows it to retain head for up to 45 minutes (respectively). The high metal content of the stones is also great for energy work. Benefits of hot stones: relaxing and sedating, increased circulation, brings nutrient rich blood to the surface, pain relief and lymphatic flush (helps immune function). It does more than just feeling like a luxury massage,
its benefits prove that!
Here is what typically is explained for my hot stone massages and what is asked...

I have the stones placed on your back to soothe any aches and pains and increase the circulation to your
back. While those stones are sitting on your back I start with your legs, apply the cream and work with new stones. That way by the time both legs are massaged, your back is nice and ready. I removed the old stones, apply the cream and work with new stones on your back and do the same for the front side of the body. I have a heated pad on the table as well
I have two things that I ask.. 1) I can't change what I don't know, so please
speak up if anything needs more attention or is too hot, and 2) I step away
frequently in that the smaller stones lose the heat quicker because they are
working on the body rather than the larger placed stones that are sitting on the
skin. I would rather work with stones at their full capacity rather than work
with so-so stones of meager temperatures.
